Chittagong Grammar School (CGS) operates across three campuses in Chattogram: Lower, Middle and Upper. It follows a British-style curriculum, delivering Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS Levels and Cambridge A Levels, and CGS is a Cambridge International Examinations center with O Level, AS and A Level examinations held on site. The Lower School (Pre-Play to Class 2) uses a thematically, cross-curricular approach across English, Bengali, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Information Technology and ECA. Middle School (Classes 3–8) offers a broad range of subjects and begins the O Level pathway from Class 8; Upper School carries the O Level and A Level pathway. French is offered as a Class 8 option. The school began in 1992 with a mission to provide world-class English-medium education and today emphasizes service, global citizenship and leadership through a mandatory CGS Community School program and environmental initiatives. CGS is the only Round Square school in Bangladesh, integrating sustainability and leadership into its culture. It hosts inter-school sports, MUN and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, with facilities and programs supporting athletics, arts and clubs.

CGS follows a British school Curriculum with age-appropriate assessment. Lower School (Pre-Play to Class 2) uses a thematic, cross-curricular approach with areas including English, Bengali, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Information Technology and ECA. Middle School (Classes 3–8) offers Art, Bangla, Creative Writing, English Language, English Literature, Geography, Global Perspectives, History, ICT, Islam & Moral Education, Mathematics, Physical Education, Science and Social Studies, and the O' Level syllabus starts from Class 8. Upper School carries the O Level and A Level pathway and CGS is a Cambridge International Examinations center, with O, AS and A Level examinations held on site. French is offered as a Class 8 option.
2025 A' Level results: 106 AS Level candidates and 72 A Level candidates, with an overall A/A/A/B ratio of 48%. 2025 O' Level results: 142 candidates appeared for the June 2025 O-level examinations; Combined CGS and CGSD pass rate was 96%; 65 of 142 (46%) attained 5 As or more.
NCUK Accredited MIE Pathways Program provides foundation education after the O' Level examination; foundation students can access both NC and Upper School campuses to hone their extracurricular and academic repertoires.
Step 1: Submit the online admission form or collect an admission form and complete and submit via email or drop at the school campus. The Lower School campus handles admissions for Pre-Play, Playgroup, Nursery, Reception, KG, Class 1, and Class 2, generally ages 2.5 to 8.5 years. The Lower School campus is located at 39 K.B. Fazlul Kader Rd, Panchlaish, Chattogram, and can be contacted at +8802333336536 or +8801850313928. Ensure the form is completed and submitted as part of this initial step. Step 2: After submission, the school office will contact the family. Admissions are organized by campus: Lower School handles Pre-Play to Class 2; Middle School handles Classes 3 to 8; Upper School handles Classes 9 to 12. The Lower School is located at 39 K.B. Fazlul Kader Rd, Panchlaish, Chattogram; the Middle School is located at Surson Valley, Joy Nagar, 448 / B, Chatteshwari Road, Chattogram; the Upper School is located at 321/11 Bangladesh Tea Board Guest House Rd, Chattogram. Step 3: Candidates will sit for an entrance exam. The entrance exam is a component of the admissions process. This step occurs after the initial contact from the school. Step 4: Selected candidates will appear for an interview. The interview is part of the admissions process. It follows the entrance exam. Step 5: Applicants are informed of the school's decision within three days. The notification is sent to the applicant and/or family. This completes the admissions decision stage.
