Scholastica School Mirpur Campus is an English-medium school in Dhaka serving ages 2 to 18. The campus offers a Bespoke Curriculum alongside the British Curriculum, Cambridge Secondary, and Cambridge A Levels, with Cambridge examinations administered by the British Council in Dhaka for Classes IX to XII. English is the primary medium of instruction, with Bangla given equal emphasis to nurture identity. Founded in 1977 by Mrs. Yasmeen Murshed, Scholastica pioneered English-medium education in Bangladesh, introducing science labs for secondary students and campuses with auditoriums, a swimming pool and hard courts. The school connects internationally through sports, trips abroad, and expert input to curriculum and training, supported by technology-enabled data management. Learning emphasizes enquiry and independence from Nursery to Junior School, while maintaining Bangla proficiency from Nursery to Class X with a Bangla Literacy Lab. Extra-curriculars include arts, music, drama, and media studies, fostering creativity and leadership across cultures and learning.

Scholastica is one of the largest private English-medium schools in Bangladesh, offering pre-school to A' Level classes of an international standard. It uses English as the medium of instruction and places equal emphasis on Bangla as a prerequisite for a well-rounded education. The curriculum reflects the needs of Bangladeshi students, taking heritage, culture and national identity into account. It leads to the Cambridge International Examinations Ordinary and Advanced Level General Certificate of Education courses, taught in Classes IX to XII and administered by the British Council in Dhaka. In the Junior school, students are encouraged to observe, think independently, ask questions and freely express themselves, with center-based classrooms introduced to develop a range of important skills.
Scholastica's Cambridge O Level and A Level results are strong. In May/June 2024 CAIE exams, 21 O Level students earned 8 As, 94 earned 7 As, and 44 earned 6 As; 17 A Level students earned 4 As and 32 earned 3 As. 263 graduates from Uttara and Mirpur campuses embarked on higher education journeys at prestigious universities across the globe, with admissions distributed across North America, Asia, Australia and Europe; 175 graduates have confirmed admission and 58 are in process. 77 universities have accepted Scholastica graduates so far.

Scholastica recognises high achievers through the Cambridge Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards 2025, including Top in World and Top in Bangladesh across O Level, AS Level and A Level. The school supports advanced learners with facilities such as an A Level Lounge and expanded Media & Design Labs, and has introduced Learning for Life to develop essential life skills.
1) How To Apply. Application Forms are available online. If you cannot access the form, contact the Admissions Office and the form will be emailed to you. The admissions programs include Playgroup, Nursery, KG I, KG II, Class I through Class IX, and A Level Programs. Announcements include Playgroup Admission 2026-2027 and Admission 2026–2027. 2) Playgroup Admissions. Playgroup admissions involve interviews that start in September. Applicants should be at least 2.5 years old. Seats fill quickly, so early application is advised. 3) Nursery to IX Admissions. Forms for Nursery to IX admissions are collected from January for sessions starting in July. Admission tests start in spring. Application Forms are available online; if you cannot access the form, contact us and we will email it to you. 4) A-Level Admissions. Applications begin in June. Admission is merit-based. Shortlisted candidates who cannot be accommodated are waitlisted and contacted when seats are available.
Scholastica provides financial support for hundreds of students through the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program. The program has two components: merit-based scholarships and need-based financial assistance. Merit-based Scholarships are awarded to one student in each class from Class V to X who demonstrates excellent academic records; top students sit for a Merit Exam, and the highest achievers are invited for interviews, with one student receiving the Merit Scholarship per class. Need-based Financial Assistance provides annual support to underprivileged students; for further information, parents may email the school management.
