Introduction

Lincoln International Academy is a bilingual school in Chile serving students aged 2 to 18 across two campuses, Lo Barnechea and Chicureo. The school offers two international curricula: the Finnish International Curriculum (FIS) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). In 2024 it became an IB World School delivering the Diploma Programme, and it is the first school in South America to teach the Finnish International Curriculum. The English-language program is complemented by a bilingual environment, with native English teachers and Cambridge English certification, and about a quarter of students come from international backgrounds. The school emphasizes student well-being through the Integral Support Department (DAI) and Outdoor Education, and it supports a safe, respectful campus through KiVa anti-bullying initiatives. Extracurriculars include a broad sport and arts offering, with a 2024 Performing Arts classroom. How tuition is billed and payment terms
- Tuition is an annual charge and may be paid in instalments. The standard payment schedule for colegiatura is 10 equal monthly instalments, due between March and December of the academic year.
- The school offers a payment‑in‑advance option with a discount and the possibility to freeze the UF value at the date of payment; such discounts are offered at least in two periods (first and second semester) each year.
- Families with unpaid charges from the current year (tuition, extracurricular activities, Chromebook rental or other services) must regularize payments before formalizing matrícula for the following year.
- The school may apply an ordinary annual tuition adjustment (up to 2.0% ordinary annual increase) and has defined limits for multi‑year adjustments.

Parents' Association fee and other recurring charges
- Parents' Association fee: UF 1 per family per year, collected in two payments of UF 0.5 — collected in March and September.
- Chromebook charge: UF 5 per student per year (annual charge for device use/maintenance/insurance as specified).
- Materials and texts: Materials necessary for school activities are provided except for personal items; textbooks and some supplementary readings may not be included and may be charged separately. Students have access to a digital library (ODILO) for some supplementary readings.
- Lunch: From early primary grades students have lunch at school; families may bring lunch from home or contract/purchase food directly from the school's catering provider (Aramark). Lunch charges are separate.
- Extracurricular and complementary activities: Some mandatory educational activities (pedagogical outings, Outdoor Education, certain school visits) and optional extraprogrammatic workshops carry individual charges determined by the school.
- Accident insurance: Families must arrange accident insurance for their children; if not contracted by parents, the school may arrange it and charge the family.
- Uniforms and personal items: Uniforms and other personal items (backpacks, pencil cases, personal hygiene items) are not included in tuition and are to be provided by families.

Sibling and other discounts
- Sibling discounts (with current enrollment) apply as follows:
- 2nd sibling: 5% discount on colegiatura.
- 3rd sibling: 10% discount on colegiatura.
- 4th sibling and beyond: 25% discount on colegiatura.
- Additional sibling discounts on the entry (incorporation) fee are applied per the school's published scales for second/third and fourth siblings and beyond.
- The school also publishes specific discounts for Old Lincolnians (ex‑students) and may offer socio‑economic scholarships or supports through an application process.

Refunds and early‑termination
- The application fee (UF 1.5) is not refundable.
- The incorporation (entry) fee is expressly non‑refundable, regardless of the duration of the student's stay or reasons for withdrawal.
- Early termination of enrollment or requests to end the academic year early (for example due to relocation abroad) are evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis; the school will review the situation and propose alternatives. There is no single blanket tuition‑refund rule published for early withdrawal; specific outcomes are handled according to the school's established policy.

Billing practicalities and payment methods
- Billing is managed primarily online through the school's management system. Tuition may be paid in instalments (standard 10 monthly instalments) or via the school's advance‑payment options.
- Application payments are processed via Webpay.
- Accepted electronic payment methods include credit cards (including PAT subscription), debit cards (including PAC subscription) and other online electronic payment methods supported through the school's systems.
- Some service providers (for example the catering provider for school lunches) may require separate payment arrangements directly with the provider.

Notes on adjustments and special cases
- The school may offer extension of payment deadlines or other arrangements for families with justified reasons; payment extensions and special cases are decided by the school.
