Introduction

Lumio Private School is a not-for-profit licensed international school in Paphos, Cyprus, operated by Bright Era Education. The school serves learners aged 6 to 18 and currently offers Cambridge Primary and Secondary curricula alongside the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and planned DP. The school opened its Primary section in September 2024 after Phase A renovations, and the campus spans 6.8 hectares with spaces dedicated to science, IT, arts, sport and activities. Lumio's bespoke international curriculum supports personalised learning and inquiry-driven exploration, with a focus on holistic development across intellectual, emotional, social and ethical dimensions. It is pursuing IB World School authorisation for the MYP and Diploma Programme, with formal licensing by the Cyprus Ministry of Education in 2024. Reservation deposit and enrolment / re-enrolment

- A reservation deposit of EUR 500 per child is payable at the time of signing/submitting the enrolment agreement (and for re-enrolment). This deposit is deducted from the third term tuition fees. Failure to provide one term's written notice of withdrawal will result in forfeiture of the EUR 500 deposit. Re-enrolment deposit deadlines are published and re-enrolment deposits must be paid by the communicated date.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- The school operates three financial terms. Tuition may be paid annually or term-by-term. Term payment deadlines are: Term 1 due on or before 01 August; Term 2 due on or before 01 December; Term 3 due on or before 01 April.
- If Term 1 fees are not paid by the Term 1 deadline the enrolment agreement and student's seat may be retracted. If fees remain unpaid more than two weeks after termly due dates the school may suspend student attendance and may charge an extra administrative fee (example administrative charge: EUR 300). Tuition for students joining after the start of the academic year is charged on a pro-rata basis.

Discounts

- Sibling discount on tuition only: 2nd child = 10%; 3rd child and subsequent children = 20% (discounts applied to the youngest child's tuition).
- Annual-payment discount: 3% discount on the total annual fee (after sibling discount) if full payment is received by 01 August 2026. Sibling and annual discounts may be combined.

Included in and excluded from tuition

- Included: tuition, school electronic devices (Chromebooks for Grades 4–11), subscriptions to electronic resources, exercise books (Grades 1–10), textbooks where applicable (Grades 1–10), art and science supplies, and some stationery.
- Excluded (additional costs to budget for): external examination fees and certain DP learning resources, canteen/meals, after-school programme (ASP) clubs, specialist support, external events and excursions, bus/school transport, specified stationery, and school clothing. Learning Support Tier 2 and Tier 3 carry additional charges (see Learning Support Fees).

Learning support fees and other additional mandatory charges

- Tier 1 (baseline universal learning support): no cost.
- Tier 2 (targeted SEN support): EUR 2,500 (paid by families when Tier 2 support is required).
- Tier 3 (intensive / 1:1 support): the full cost of 1:1 support is borne by the family.
- Where a student's support level changes during the year, charges will be pro‑rated and adjustments made as described in the school policy.

Boarding

- The school does not list boarding provision; there are no boarding fees applicable.

Other routine costs

- Canteen/meals, after-school clubs, transport, school clothing/uniform, external trips, and examination fees are charged separately and should be budgeted for in addition to tuition. Late-payment administrative fees are applied where applicable.

Refund and withdrawal conditions

- Parents must provide one full term's written notice of withdrawal to the Admissions department. Where one full term's notice is not provided: the EUR 500 enrolment / re-enrolment deposit is forfeited and non-refundable, and tuition fees paid in advance will not be refunded. The school will refund Term 3 tuition fees only if the withdrawal notice is made before the start of Term 2. All outstanding fees (tuition, canteen, ASP charges) must be settled prior to departure.

- Accepted payment methods: credit card or direct bank transfer; direct bank transfer is the preferred method. Parents should include the child's full name as the payment reference.

Late payments and remedial actions

- If fees are not paid by the published deadlines the school may: retract the enrolment agreement and offer the place to another applicant, suspend student attendance until fees are paid, and charge an additional administrative fee (example: EUR 300). The school reserves the right to withdraw offers or places where fees remain in arrears despite reminders.

Admissions

Admissions

Lumio Private School is a not-for-profit, licensed international school in Paphos, Cyprus. The curriculum combines Cambridge Primary with IB MYP and DP, and for the 2026–27 academic year offers Grades 1–11 (ages 6–16). Admissions are open for 2026/27. The admissions process includes booking a visit, applying online via the Admissions Portal, and undergoing assessments, after which the school may issue an offer, place you on a wait list, or decline. The school does not charge application or enrolment fees. Key steps include: book a visit to learn about the school; submit an online application with mandatory documentation; and complete assessments (see below) before an offer or wait‑list decision is made. The school's admissions materials list the required documents as: passports for parents/guardians and child, official English translations of birth certificates, up-to-date immunisation documentation translated into English, the last two years of report cards translated into English, plus any reports relating to learning needs (with translations), and, for DP/MYP, a conduct/behaviour report; the English language proficiency certificate for non‑native speakers is optional for DP. Grade 1 applicants participate in an observation plus an interview, while other grades may include on-site English assessments, language checks, CAT4 (Grades 3–5), and IDAT (Grades 6–11). Assessments take place on campus and may be followed by an interview. Offers are not guaranteed and are determined by the Admissions Committee. A deposit of €500 per child is payable at the time of signing the enrolment agreement to secure a seat; the deposit is set off against the third‑term tuition fees. Registration occurs after tuition fees are paid according to the fee schedule, with details in the Tuition Fees section. Admissions policies for 2025–26 and 2026–27 are published on the site.

Scholarships

Lumio offers an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme scholarship. Scholarships begin in the first year of the two-year IB Diploma Programme and cover 10%–90% of tuition fees. Up to five scholarships may be awarded per academic year. Applications for scholarships are online (paper applications are not accepted). The 2025–26 cycle is closed. For 2026–27, the process runs online from February 3–27, 2026, with English language and mathematics assessments (March 2–13, 2026), interviews (March 16–27, 2026), and final decisions (March 31, 2026). Offers are issued April 1, 2026, with acceptance and a €500 deposit due by April 3, 2026 to confirm the scholarship. Scholarships apply to tuition only, are not combinable with other discounts, and continuation into year 2 depends on meeting required academic and behavioural standards. Lumio is a candidate IB World School for the IB Diploma Programme and related requirements are noted in the scholarship policy (2026–27).

Waitlist

If an applicant is not offered a place, they may be placed on a wait list. Offers, wait lists, or declines are communicated by email after the admissions review process.
