MILE Bilingual School is a private international school in Milan offering a Cambridge-based curriculum in English and Italian. With more than 20 years of experience, it delivers Cambridge Primary for the Primary years and Cambridge Lower Secondary for the Middle School, integrated with MIUR for the Italian component. The Bespoke Curriculum supports continuity across ages 0 to 14, and the Learning Journey covers ages 1 to 14 from bilingual Nursery to Bilingual Lower Secondary. From Primary, students may study a third language—Spanish, French, Chinese or German. The school is MIUR-recognised for the Italian component and Cambridge International-accredited for First Language. Founded by Adriana Sorbellini, MILE is part of International Schools Partnership (ISP). Personalized Learning Plans (PDP) address Specific Educational Needs (BES) for each student, providing effective, up-to-date and humane support. English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Italian as an Additional Language (IAL) support is provided. The Multilingual Intervention (MMI) team offers personalised help, extra resources and regular meetings to boost English and Italian language skills. Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), including dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia, benefit from specialised tools and adjustments such as text-to-speech software, mind maps, calculators and extra time. Psychological support is available through a partnership with Centro Amalthea to promote well-being.

A psychological support service is available through our partnership with Centro Amalthea to promote well-being and identify early signs of distress. The safeguarding and wellbeing framework supports staff in managing student learning, behaviour and relationships to foster a healthy school environment.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility to promote the physical and psychological wellbeing of all students. The safeguarding team includes Manuela Dolci (Designated Safeguarding Lead, Primary) and Patrizia Fiorentini (Safeguarding Lead, Middle). The safeguarding policy outlines staff responsibilities to recognise risk and respond promptly to prevent harm. Safeguarding measures include child protection training, cyber safety and pediatric first aid; the school is equipped with a defibrillator. There are downloadable policies such as Safer Recruitment Policy and safeguarding policy on the school site.
Admission journey: Contact us by completing the enquiry form to begin the admissions process. Book a tour to visit our campus and meet our Admissions Team. Video call with the Head of Admissions is arranged; for Year 2 and above a copy of the most recent school report is requested. Assessment is conducted by the Coordinator of the relevant year group with feedback within 48 hours. Offer and confirmation require completing all documents provided by the Admissions Team and returning them to the school office. Welcome to MILE marks the start of the school year. Admission FAQs: admission requirements vary by level and generally include a completed application form, a birth certificate, previous school records and proof of residence; documents required include personal identification, previous school reports, vaccination records, proof of address, and parent or guardian identification. There is an entrance test for new students; the assessment covers English and Italian. Admission regulations are based on academic preparation, the availability of places and alignment with the school's values; siblings may receive special consideration. The academic year typically starts in September and ends in June; the school day usually runs from 8:00 to 16:00, with variations by year group. A school uniform is required; admission status updates are sent by email or phone.
