Global Village Academy

Global Village Academy Aurora is a tuition-free public charter school established in 2007, serving students from Kindergarten through eighth grade across two specialized campuses. The school operates under a dual-language immersion model where students receive core instruction in both English and a chosen target language: Spanish, Mandarin, French, or Russian. In early grades, immersion instruction accounts for up to 70% of the day, progressively moving toward a 50/50 split to ensure fluency in both languages. The academic framework follows the American Curriculum, specifically aligned with Colorado Academic Content Standards, and integrates AVID strategies to support college readiness. A signature feature of the school is the eighth-grade international travel program, which provides students the opportunity to utilize their language skills in a native-speaking country.
